I’ve been woodworking in some form or another for a couple of decades, but it was after attending the Professional Course at the Chippendale International School of Furniture that I started getting serious about it. Since then, I’ve continued my research and training in furniture restoration, gilding, carving, and marquetry. I really enjoy green woodworking and love any time that I can spend making spoons, or carving a bowl.
On the research side, I’m very interested in pre-industrial woodworking, but more specifically 17th-century tools and processes both in the US and in the UK.
Many of the posts on this website are simply to help me to not forget what I was thinking or why I did (X) when now it’s so obvious that I should have done (Y).
As I get more serious about the website I may add more functionality, but for now, it’s bare-bones.
